Stay up to date with our response to COVID-19

Restart date released

The DVSA have confirmed that CBT can restart from 29 March as long as the Governments road map stays on track. They also say that motorcycle tests will restart 12 April at the earliest.

We are currently in the process of rescheduling all those effected by this latest lockdown and then from 21 March we can restart taking new bookings. We will be putting on additional CBT courses to ensure there’s not too much of a backlog.

It’s worth remembering that due to the virus ( contamination and transmission ) we will NOT be loaning out any equipment so you will need to bring your own helmet, motorcycle jacket and gloves.

Update from DVSA on motorcycle tests

‘In its roadmap the Government set out that driving tests and theory tests in England will restart (as part of step 2) no earlier than 12 April 2021.

DVSA is working closely with the government and will provide more information as soon as we are able to do so on motorcycle, vocational and other tests, lessons and training.’

Keep an eye on this page or our Facebook page for any more updates.

Hopefully we’ll get you on the road soon, in the mean time stay safe and remember:

Motorcycle restrictions as Oxfordshire goes into tier 4!

Firstly I hope you all had a good Christmas despite the different restrictions placed on us all.

As of Boxing Day morning Oxfordshire is being placed into tier 4 and along with more social restrictions it once again effects motorcycle training.

It is uncertain how long the restrictions will be in place so we can only go by the review dates ( next review 30 December)

We will be contacting any students that have courses / tests booked whilst the tier 4 restrictions are in place to reschedule their training. As you can imagine this is going to take some time so please be patient but if you have any questions you can mail us and I will respond as soon as I’m able. Trust me when I say that we are as frustrated as you guys but we’ve all got to do everything we can to sort this Covid situation.

In finishing we wish you all a happy New Year, keep smiling and remember:

As per the Prime Ministers address on 10 May the travel restrictions are still in place. So at this time we are still only able to renew CBT for key workers.

If you are a key worker and require you powered 2 wheeler for work / to get to work you will need proof of your key worker status when attending the course.

Date 23/3/2020
As per the announcement from the Prime Minister on 23 March all but non essential travel must cease. This means that people are allowed to travel to and from work, the shops ( for essentials only) and for medical issues. This does NOT include travelling to and undertaking road training. As such until the sanctions are lifted we are NOT open for training, nor testing.

Once the sanctions are lifted the following will come back into effect:

What bike-moore is doing:

– We will run all courses as normal

– We will be conducting tuition via radio/ear pieces to comply with social distancing advice

– We will continue (as always) to sanitise the free for hire equipment

– We will be issuing all students with disposable gloves

What we need you to do:

-if you have your own equipment then please bring it

– Inform us immediately if you have a course booked but are showing symptoms and we will reschedule your course to an agreed date once you’ve recovered and are out of isolation

You can of course still call for any updates, it’d be nice to hear from you still.

Stay safe!
